If any of you from the staff are going to contribute to the WiiWareWave Features page, then feel free to do so, but just remember that there are rules here that you must follow in order not to make this page look bad or ruin the purpose of it
1.- Please make the blog post large Don't worry, it doesn't have to be VERY LONG, just don't make it too short so that it doesn't look like it could've been posted on a forum post instead. (about 1000-more words should be enough)
2.- Please make your arguments/facts/explanations reasonable for your opinion If your opinion doesn't...
Here in this video I (Gamergy) thought up of 5 Super Smash Bros DLC characters I wanted. It's just a personal want list, it's not what's popular or what a lot of people want, I just listed what I would like.
Filled with more attempts at comedy, I hope you enjoy this video!
A mini-adventure created using Super Mario Maker's powerful tools
The level creation features of Super Mario Maker are truly incredible. Never before would any Mario fan have thought they could create their own unique levels, or even entire worlds, ready to play at any time. With Coursebot, a handy feature unlocked from the moment you begin the game, arranging levels into themed worlds is a snap. By pressing the Play button next to a world, you can play its four stages in order.
WiiWareWave feature contributor GamerZack87 has taken on the...
After much anticipation, the superb Super Mario Maker is finally here, and it promises to be the ultimate Mario level-creation tool. After a brief tutorial in how to build a basic course, I'm ready to try making a stage...
Yesterday at Pax 2015 Nindies @ Night presentation in Seattle Washington the rumoured Shovel Knight Amiibo was officially announced. The figure looks nice enough, but will be limited in quantity. Our staff member DBZMania was quite irked when he provided us with the news tip regarding this announcement as it appears that two player co-op and Challenge...
I (Gamergy) just started a youtube channel and the owner of this site suggested I post some of my mini-reviews and thoughts on videos that I will be making. So here I am!
DISCLAIMER: This is my very first mini-review video and it's more of a "thoughts on" video with some attempted comedic stuff I added rather than a full-length review. I don't cover absolutely everything, I missed some stuff because this is a mini-review/thoughts on, so I'll probably write up a full-written Splatoon review as well when I get the chance....

It was Christmas of 1992 in Chandler Arizona and all I wanted for Christmas was Super Mario Bros. 3. When I woke up that crisp cool morning I rushed downstairs to our Christmas tree where my parents were and I excitedly opened my presents! I was so happy when I finally opened the present that housed my own copy of Super Mario Bros. 3! After finishing opening the rest...

It's a big holiday weekend in the United States and as such it's our tradition to host a feature talking about which games we the staff will be playing this weekend! This weekend's theme is RPG's!
Few platformers have had super high speed platforming and ultra-tight gameplay outside of the Genesis Sonic The Hedgehog titles, but Freedom Planet possesses these attributes in spades and it all comes together perfectly in the game! The platforming in the demo stage was nearly flawless and had a well-balanced difficulty curve. The mid-stage boss was fairly...
We recently had a chat with the husband and wife duo of Intropy Games about their upcoming Wii U eShop puzzler Astral Breakers and we actually learned quite a bit of new info regarding their game! We know you'd like to jump right in so here's our interview!
So we saw in the "Micro Direct" this morning that the new Art Academy game will be coming west and is available for pre-purchase on the eShop for $30. (Hallelujah. I have less than zero artistic ability, so I NEED those lessons. I could do nothing with Sketchpad, as I'm hopeless without professional help.) The addition of 30 painting lessons and...
It's a very special weekend so we have decided to reboot a popular weekly feature! We will publish a new feature in this series every Friday through the month of June! We hope you enjoy this WiiWareWave exclusive!
With three hours of Splatoon’s territorial ink splatting under our belts, it’s no understatement to say: we just can’t wait to turn in to a squid and dive back in.
Nintendo’s upcoming third-person shooter has been described as the Wii U’s answer to Call of Duty, Halo, and Gears of War, but, while it may fill a similar competitive online shooting role, there are no accurate gameplay comparisons to make. Splatoon eschews both the speed of popular military FPS games, as well as the deliberate duck-and-cover gameplay of common third-person run ’n’ guns, giving the game a feel all its own....
It's official: Nintendo has announced a partnership with DeNA, revealing a top-secret project with the codename "NX". Many suspect that Nintendo will soon become a competitor in the mobile market, but could this really be the case? After all, Nintendo is best known as a video game company, even though they made their start in other fields. We asked some random individuals their opinion on this hot new topic.
#1: What's your opinion on Nintendo's new "NX" project?
WiiWareWave turns 4 today, which is quite a good age for a breakout Nintendo fan community. But just how popular is it? We sent our roving reporter out into the world to hear what others have to say about this momentous event.
Do you think there are any essential, exceptionally fun titles missing?
Note that this is a list of games available in PAL regions (EU/AUS/NZ) so unfortunately no 1001 Spikes, A World of Keflings, Mutant Mudds Deluxe, Ballpoint Universe Infinite, Lucadian Chronicles, etc.
Here at WiiWareWave, we're not afraid to explore the opinions of others relating to what's going on in the world of Nintendo. One such issue we face as Nintendo fans is the repeated shortages of popular items such as the GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U and the ever-collectable amiibo range. To that end, we went out and found random individuals to interview relating to this topic.
We recently were given the opportunity to interview Galaxy Trail Games about their upcoming fast-paced action-platformer Freedom Planet! Here is the interview in full, please enjoy!:

The item in question is the Red 2DS with Yoshi's New Island bundle which is currently $79.99 at Gamestop! An employee mentioned that they are trying to shift units of the bundle to make room for new goods.

Recently I got my hands on a (very) early build of a game called Tiny Galaxy that will be coming to the Wii U eShop in early 2015.
Tiny Galaxy is a platformer that plays a bit like a 2D version of Super Mario Galaxy. The build I played was about collecting the stars and going through the portal at the end, all while avoiding these spinning blades. The last few levels were pretty difficult, so the final...

Cubemen 2 is to tower defense games what Call of Duty is for the FPS genre! The game just oozes with quality and during just our first 25 minutes of the game we enjoyed a few single player games and an online match and were mostly pleased with our experience! The game possesses several different modes such as skirmish and defense. as well as a ton of custom made maps.

Earlier today we had the chance to talk to Jools Watsham from Renegade Kid about Mutant Mudds, the Wii U, 3DS, and upcoming titles and without further ado here's our interview:
Hello Mr. Watsham thanks for joining us today to answer some of our questions!
Many people have been wondering how Nintendo would manage to display the DS's dual screens properly on the Wii U Gamepad since the console was confirmed for future use on the Wii U Virtual Console Service. Many believed that Nintendo would be forced to use the TV as a second screen for horizontally displayed games, while others have said...

Mario Kart 8 has fast become one of the biggest selling points of the Wii U, bumping up the popularity of the console almost overnight. With 32 courses classic and new, a brand-new take on Battle Mode, the addition of the Koopalings and the return of Bikes, not to mention the inclusion of Quads, anti-gravity sections a la F-Zero and, of course, the much-praised Super Horn, there's quite...
