Nintendo dropped a trio of unexpected GBA releases onto the Nintendo Switch Online service earlier today in the form of ALL three Gameboy Advance Starfy titles globally marking these games' first appearance in the West! You can watch the official trailer below!

Meanwhile last week we saw the MASSIVE addition of 7 new NES and Famicom games here in the West which were:

Urban Champion.
Golf.
Donkey Kong Jr. Math
Mach Rider.
The Mystery of Atlantis.
SOLAR JETMAN.

Nintendo has updated the look of the Nintendo Switch Online home news portal in the Nintendo Switch menu today leading to speculation of a major NSO announcement being made in today's Nintendo Direct, and apparently some data miners have uncovered two new emulators on the back-end data of the Switch eShop with code formats seemingly being from Saturn and Game Gear. If true we might be in for a real treat later today in the form of a ton of new content for NSO!

Nintendo has officially confirmed that their June Nintendo Direct will be broadcast tomorrow June 18th at 3pm BST / 4pm CET / 7am PT / 10 ET / 12am AET (Wednesday btw) and will be approximately 40 minutes in length focusing on upcoming titles for the current generation Switch. Though a reveal of Super Mario Bros.: The Movie 2 is being rumored by some reputable sources!

Five New Gameboy Games Make The Mega Cut-Man And Splash Onto The NSO Classics Library! Available Now!

Nintendo has just released FIVE Megaman titles on the NSO Gameboy app for this month's update! The titles released were all five of the mainline Megaman games on the original Gameboy! This is by far the biggest update that the Gameboy console has received on NSO so far.

And since we missed reporting it, here's May's NSO update for good measure:

May's update was also a purely Gameboy update with three new games added. These games were Alleyway an Arkanoid type brick-breaker game, a baseball title aptly named Baseball, and the headliner title Super Mario Land!

Nintendo has released several updates to the NSO library of games since we last updated you guys. Our apologies! The most recent update added two new N64 titles to the service! Those two titles being Iggy's Wreckin Balls and Extreme G!

Nintendo announced during this morning's Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase that five Rare developed classic titles would be releasing on the Nintendo Switch Online service later today! These are the games being added to the service:

Nintendo announced earlier this evening that the previously confirmed Mario Party 3 for the Nintendo 64, will be splashing onto the Nintendo Switch Online Plus Expansion service on Friday in Japan, which of course means parts of the west including the United Stated will be getting this game on Thursday evening! Also in related news, Nintendo recently also released Kirby And The Amazing Mirror for the Gameboy Advance on the Expansion service!

Nintendo has dropped Pokemon Trading Card Game for the GBC and Pokemon Stadium 2 for the N64 on the Nintendo Switch Online service immediately after announcing their immanent release during this morning's Pokemon Presents broadcast! This marks the final GBC game that we knew would be releasing when Nintendo released the console on the NSO service so we can likely expect Nintendo to announce the next batch in the next Nintendo Direct, meaning a September Direct seems more plausible now, especially with Golden Sun being the last GBA game we know is coming for sure!

The Blades That Bind Us!

Nintendo has announced that Fire Emblem also known as Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade in Japan will be releasing on June 22nd which is Thursday, but given how NSO releases happen at the same time globally chances are the game will drop in North America at 6:00 PM PDT / 9:00 PM EDT on Wednesday! Here is the official description of the game from Nintendo's PR announcement!

Official Description: wrote:Featuring all the fierce tactical combat and rich, intrigue-filled storytelling the series is known for, Fire Emblem was the first installment in the series to launch outside of Japan. Plus, it also marked the debut of the hero Lyn, who you may know as the Emblem of Blazing from Fire Emblem Engage!

In Fire Emblem, the nation of Lycia stands on the precipice of war after centuries of peace. Turmoil grows as noble houses plot treason, allies become enemies and armies stand poised for combat … all while a mysterious figure manipulates empires from the shadows. As a bonus for Japanese players, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade is also releasing in Japan only this week. You can, however play the game with a North American or European NSO + Expansion Pack subscription if you have a Japanese Switch account, but obviously the game will be in Japanese and is text-heavy so some understanding of the Japanese language might be necessary to enjoy a game like this. Nintendo has once again shadow-dropped four new retro games onto the base Nintendo Switch Online service today! This group of games are quite varied so there should be something enjoyable for just about everyone! The update brings the following lineup of new titles to the service!

Kirby Tilt 'N' Tumble (Yes Gyroscopic Controls Are Intact On Most Switch Controllers Third Party Ones Included!).
Blaster Master: Enemy Below.

Mystery Tower (Known As Tower of Babel In Japan) (Japanese Import).

Nintendo has just announced that Pokemon Stadium for the Nintendo 64 will be releasing next week on April 12 on the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service! The game originally released in 2000 and has all Pokemon from Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow. There are some minigames and hidden modes to unlock as well.

News: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 4 Set To Release On Mar10 Day in Japan And March 9th In The West!

Nintendo has just announced the release date of Wave 4 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe BCP and it's likely MUCH sooner than you'd expect! The DLC will be officially releasing on Mar10 Day in Japan, which is March 9th in the West, well unless you live down under or are a Kiwi, but we digress. The official tracks are as follows:

Singapore Speedway (Tour).
Bangkok Rush (Tour).
Amsterdam Drift (Tour).
Yoshi's Island (Nitro).
DK Summit (Wii).
Riverside Park (GBA).
Mario Circuit (DS).
Waluigi Stadium (GCN).

That's it folks! The only thing to note is that if the previous track list leak is to be believed then Mario Circuit is the final DS track coming in the BCP which as fun as it looks, is a bit of a disappointing note to end on since Shroom Ridge and Waluigi Pinball already released in earlier waves and are arguably MUCH better DS tracks, but other than this the next wave is looking it'll be a fun one to ride!

Nintendo gave viewers a preview of Wave 4 of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass today during their Nintendo Direct broadcast and showcased a new Yoshi's Island themed track which appears to have multiple environments including a beach, underwater section, a forested area, a mountain climb, and a sky section. Another BIG reveal was the return of Birdo who will be added to the game complete with various color choices just like Yoshi and Shyguy possess in the game. The DLC still has no concrete release date, but is still confirmed for release later this Spring.

In a surprise announcement Nintendo has released Gameboy/Gameboy Advance games on the NSO service. The Gameboy games appear to have the GBC enhancements as well as color filters and are available to all NSO subscribers, whereas the Gameboy Advance games are exclusive to NSO + Expansion subscribers.

Here's the full list of currently available Gameboy games on NSO:

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX.
Tetris.
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.
Gargoyle's Quest.
Game & Watch Gallery 3.
Alone In The Dark: The New Nightmare.
Metroid II: Return of Samus.
Wario Land 3.
Kirby's Dreamland.

Here's the list of currently confirmed upcoming Gameboy games for the service:

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages.
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons.
Pokemon Trading Card Game.
Kirby Tilt & Tumble.

And here's the currently available lineup of Gameboy Advance games on the NSO + Expansion service:

Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 (With e-Reader content).

Nintendo has announced today that Wave Race 64 is headed to the Nintendo Switch Online Plus Expansion service courtesy of the N64 App this week! The game will be added on Friday August 19th in Japan so expect a release at around 5:00 PM PDT / 8:00 PM EDT on Thursday in the states!

Here's the description of the game from Nintendo's website and the official trailer.

Nintendo wrote:Wave Race 64 features nine challenging courses set across scenic locales. Go airborne with dolphins on the golden shores of Sunset Bay, cruise under the bright lights and tall buildings of Twilight City, feel the crashing waves on Sunny Beach or chill out on the frigid waters of Glacier Coast, just to name a few. Plus, racing conditions will change with the weather, making the water choppy or covering the course with fog. The waves will even respond to the way that you and your rivals move!
