The Creator of Fire Pro Wrestling Masato Masuda Passes Away At The Age of 48

A Day of Mourning

If you're a fan of old-school wrestling games then you have no doubt heard of the late Masato Masuda and his famous wrestling series of games Fire Pro Wrestling many of which were released on Nintendo consoles and handhelds. His unfortunate and untimely passing prompted Goichi "Suda51" Suda who worked with Masato Masuda on some of his earlier projects to take to Twitter and pay tribute to is former colleague.

He was 48 years old, still young. I genuinely pray for his happiness in the next world. He was one of the greatest creators of video games and he was my direct teacher. Thank you for giving us our favorite Fire Pro-wrestling. You are the god of it.
