Has human evolution.... stopped? O_o

So I'm curious what you guys think of this topic. I don't know but I was looking up some sci fi comics and you tend to see that people have gigantic brains and big eyes. You know this sort of "theme" that evolution has given us a bigger brain.

But today due to technology there is really no selective pressure? Want to travel to Japan? Take a jet plane and go there.

But ancestrs who lived in the forest were under immense evolutionary pressure? They had to find ingenious ways to solve problems using stones. So they need ways to navigate, solve, socialize with other people etc and develop a bigger brain and accelerate evolution

Today you can travel anywhere.


I'm not saying evolution has literally frozen? You can still mate with others and pass on our genes.

But I doubt people in the future are going to look much different.

No. It hasnt. Evolution takes millions of years. Just cause we havent seen anything amazing happen to us in the last thousand years dosent mean we've stopped evolving.

Though our ability to survive without technology could diminish as time go's such is the case with domestic pets being less able survive in the wild

Uhhhh....yeah evolution is actually accelerating from what I've heard. Supposedly it's because of severe climate change
