About to Seek Further Education, No Idea Where to Begin...

So I've been doing a lot of thinking, and I've finally decided to finish my decade-long gap year and go back to school. This means that I would once again be classified as a student, and the fact that I look like an 18-year-old guy means that I should fit in seamlessly...well, apart from the fact that I'm 6' XX" tall and have bright red hair and a slight belly-podge.

The problem is that I have yet to decide what I'd like to pursue career-wise. I've had nearly 10 years to decide, but...nothing. Nada. There are so many things which I'd be good at doing, and not a single clear vision of which one to pursue. Languages, the arts, science...maths (yeugh)...and even technology, plus other specialties, are all possibilities for me to reach my full potential, and yet I can't think of a single one I'd like to do. You'd think being skilled at so many things and having so many interests would make the decision easier, but it complicates things to a ridiculous degree (pardon the pun), so I need to work out what to do.

Anyway, if anybody has any advice on how best to decide on a course(s) to take, or even tips on surviving and/or embracing university life, I'd be glad to hear it.

I'm a journalist for another online community and make approximately £20,000 a year so there's that. The only advice that I can give you is that you should follow your heart and study whatever it is that you want to study and choose your own path in life lol.

That's exactly the problem, though. I can - and want to - do so many different things that it makes my decision tough. So unless there are career opportunities for a budding amateur professional live-action tabletop video game voice actor artist author doctor designer programmer publisher journalist biologist physicist mystery shopper...well, you get the idea.

Not to worry, I'm sure that I can make a decision in time to start university later this year. And if the many worlds theory is to be believed, I will, in fact, make every decision. Ooh, maybe I could be a professional imagination-type guy.

I'm pretty sure I know what I'd like to do, and the answer was pretty much staring at me this whole time: I'd like to be a game designer! Gaming (both digital and tabletop) is my biggest passion, so I'm confident it's what I'd most enjoy doing career-wise.

Now to narrow down my chosen path to a few specialties...
