Pokémon Remakes Discussion

With the announcement of remakes of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, I thought it was time to start a topic about Pokémon-series remakes. This is also where you can talk about "third versions", including the Japan-semi-exclusive Poketto Monsutā Aoi, Yellow Version, Crystal Version, Emerald Version, Platinum Version, Black Version 2, White Version 2 and the hypothetical Pokémon Z.

Is anybody else excited for the new RS remakes? I already know which of the two versions to choose: Alpha Sapphire!

So which starter will you choose? I'd probably choose my favourite Hoenn starter:

I want Treecko as my starter, but I'm still unsure as to which generation 3 remake version I will choose.

My choice will be Torchic as my starter in Omega Ruby lol.

I might consider getting some classic Pokémon games which I've never tried/completed, such as Pokémon Crystal and Emerald for the Game Boy line, as well as Pokémon Platinum for DS. I may also get Pokémon Blue and Yellow, so I guess eBay will be quite useful in my endeavour.

Not long to go now till ORAS is out! I now know how my base parties might look:

OMEGA RUBY - Mudkip, Mawile and Numel

ALPHA SAPPHIRE - Treecko, Sableye and Carvanha

As for my other party members, I'll probably add those on a whim. By the way, did anybody else hear the news? Camerupt, Sharpedo and Gallade all have Mega Evolutions!

I'm getting alphasapphire, because I just realized: I had Yellow and Red but got LG, I had Crystal and Silver but got HG. I had Ruby and Emerald, so Sappires remake makes sence. however I never owned Platinum but in stead pearl so in 2019I guess I'll be picking up Pokemon 4Diamond instead of pokemon 5Pearl, maybe they'll make a pokemon 3Platinum

Actually, 3D is space (three-dimensional space), time is considered to be the fourth dimension, and, because our universe is believed to only have four dimensions, it would make sense for the Platinum remake to be 5Platinum. I like your naming concept, though, it's quite unique compared with the naming styles of the other remakes.

Two days to go till New Pokémon Game Day!

I'm going to GS at midnight, not to pick up Pokemon, but to pick up Amiibo and StreetPasses, the guy at GS said they usually have around 300 3DSes at Nintendo launch day events I hope so since I really want that 100 SP in one day accomplishment

Apparently, there's data in the Gen VI Pokémon games which suggests that there will be two more games this console generation. Some rumours suggest that they will be brand-new adventures called Pokémon + and Pokémon -, whereas others state that they will be Pokémon Z, a third counterpart to XY, and Pokémon Delta Emerald, an enhanced remake of Pokémon Emerald Version. Thoughts?

Not too sure what to think of that. Ive heard no news from Ninty or other sources.

Me either. As far as I'm concerned, I should take this rumour with several large grains of salt. It's still intriguing, nonetheless.

Indeed, hu4 even if this rumour is true, I dont think ill be buying them

I wonder if May 7 2019 we'll hear of the DP remakes

Well lol they broke the cycle with that one, but I do wonder if Unova will be a Legends game now? Also I’d love a BDSP style versions on HGSS specifically made by ILCA

I imagine there’ll be something along those lines, ideally a story centred on the Original Dragon.
