The "Nintendo Auto-Correct" Game Empty The "Nintendo Auto-Correct" Game

April 15th 2014, 10:29 pm
Smart devices have a habit of auto-correcting words which they don't recognise. So here is a new forum game! I will post five words using my smart device and you have to guess what they are. They are all related to Nintendo in some way, whether they are the name of a character, item or world. Here's the first batch:

Goon a
Rate ate
Zara
Magi kart
Deeded

Now here's what you do: try to guess what each thing is actually called, as well as its game of origin (if you don't know the game in which it originally appeared, then name the franchise to which it belongs). For every correct answer, you get three points. If you can match up the things to their respective début games, you get two extra points for each correct match-up; if you only guess the franchise, you get one point. Your scores will determine your place in the leaderboard. After five batches of things, the winners are declared! Then the slate is wiped clean with a new group of things to guess. Good luck! victory

LEADERBOARD

Kushina: O
Rukiafan: O

On Wednesday 1st February 2013, a little series named Crystals of Silveria made its “official” début right here on WiiWareWave.

Now, ten years on, the adventures of Zed Starmute and the Crystalbound are on the verge of their TENTH ANNIVERSARY!

The series may have been quietly shelved since then (creative burnout FTL), but the original 17-episode season is complete and remastered, and available to read in its entirety here.

There’s even a one-shot OVA-styled special that continues the story, as well as serving to “tide over” fans during the interim into later, mostly-on-hiatus storylines.

Either way, it’s PARTY FESTIVAL TIME! WOO! victory

And now for the results!

Goon a - Goomba (Super Mario Bros.) 5 5
Rate ate - Raticate (Pokémon Red and Blue Versions) 5 5
Zara - Zora (The Legend of Zelda) 4 4
Magi kart - Magikarp (Pokémon Red and Blue Versions) - -
Deeded - Dedede (Kirby's Dream Land) 5 5

Well, it seems that Kushina and Rukiafan are both tied for first place with a total of 19 points each! Now, get ready for the next round:

Sent rest
Blaring
Krakow
Dragons amass
Kaka rio

Can you guess the identities of the things? victory
