There are three characters there. Lots of things come in threes in my multiverse, so here are three examples:

-Many worlds have three kinds of elf (high elves, dark elves and wood elves)
-There are three spirit-infused races in Yume-Honto (tanu-otoko, kitsu-onna and kappa-noko)
-The world of Pentorbix V has three moons (Alf, Beti and Cammy)

There are other things that come in threes, and if you watch (read) Crystals of Silveria, you'll notice some things appearing in sets of three. Wink

FUN-FACT: Yoshi's Japanese name is "Yossy", meaning that his name has western spelling in Japan and Japanese spelling in the rest of the world.

ON-TOPIC: There's an old cliché in D&D: "Three* people meet in a tavern.", which means that the typical starting point for any D&D campaign is a tavern. I try to be creative with the start of each story set within my worlds, although I do occasionally throw in a nod to that well-worn cliché, such as Zed braving his uneasiness about entering The Naked Drake to meet with Amethyst. It's actually not too hard if you have a good Dungeon Master who can help you get started. I've been told in the past that I tend to be a "forgiving DM", meaning that I won't make any challenges or enemy encounters too hard for the players' character level, and I often turn things around when the heroes are in a pinch.
