The alien race of Junihoshi is called the xenokin, and they have their own subcontinent known as Neo Xenox. The other fifteen races are all Junihoshian natives, including humans, so Zed is most definitely not a xenokin.

Aliens? Now here's where I come in. SciFi always interested me since I was a little Sammy. Does that Juihoshi planet rock? haha!

The aliens were a way to add a sci-fi twist to my medieval-esque fantasy setting, as well as explain the large number of anachronisms present in the setting (a nice hot shower, anyone?). Plus, as much as I love D&D, I also like sci-fi, so I knew I had to work something into Junihoshi. The trick was adding sci-fi elements without turning the entire setting into a futuristic world. The backstory I created for the xenokin was designed to fit the theme of the setting, so it's still a primarily-fantasy setting, but the xenokin are there for those who want something a little different.

Did this thread just polymorph into a discussion on the finer details of Junihoshi and Crystals of Ornoposia?! EPIC OFF-TOPIC!

Zed usually uses cantrips, which are very basic spells such as Light (creates an orb of light which brightens the immediate area), Prestidigitation (does a wide number of simple effects such as cleaning the caster and temporarily recolouring something) and Magic Missile (fires tiny orbs of energy out of the caster's hand which target a threat). Out of those, Magic Missile could be considered the "most powerful". Zed's most powerful spell, however, is Sleep, a spell which isn't even a part of the Evocation school. It's so potent that Zed is only able to cast it once a day. You'll see that spell in action during the pilot episode of Crystals of Ornoposia!

Actually, Zed's probably the lowest-ranked member of the party. He's the newest member, his crystal has the fewest number of sides, and he's the apprentice of one of the party leaders. Stat-wise he's only Level 1, with the rest being Level 5. The boss he is not.
