I noticed the recent topic tab has been moved and looks good now on the forum homepage

Agreed, I like how this place is coming together. The chat box is better on the bottom as well, since it's less in the way.

I see that the main page now shows the name of the thread that was last commented on instead of just the date and poster. That's a worthwhile tweak.
I should point out that the images for the control panel on the sidebar don't work, though...
