- I found it somewhat unsettling, since the game was all cutesy and mostly pretty carefree. The big reveal at the end makes it feel like a hollow victory, which while upsetting, is more interesting than the generic "we beat the big baddie, the world is saved, let's go chill and have fun forever and stuff". I've heard some interesting theories about the ending and how it ties into morality and such. It's certainly an interesting ending.

I liked the ending of Kid Icarus: Uprising. At the very end, whilst Palutena's Army and the humans are celebrating the defeat of the Underworld Army, Viridi is trying to nitpick about the problems with humanity, before she lets them "have your happy ending!" and storms off.

This one is from Star Ocean Till The End of Time which has on of the biggest unexpected endings of any game, so I decided to hide it with spoiler tags open only if you've seen the ending or don't plan on getting the game!
