Sonic The Hedgehog is back for a 3rd time and is ready to stop Dr. Eggman and his death egg scheme once and for all!

As is the case with most Sonic games,you play as Sonic going through several acts in many zones destroying badnicks and defeating the boss at the end of each zone. You should also collect as many rings as you can so you don't die if you run into an enemy or land on spikes. Players can collect the 7 chaos emeralds to dominate the opposition as Super Sonic!

There are 5 varied zones and about 15 acts in this game making it a bit shorter than Sonic The Hedgehog 2. As usual the gameplay in this Sonic game is superb as it combines a perfect mix of speed and action as well as some bosses that require some strategy in beating. The only gripe I have is the game doesn't really have an ending as it's the first part/episode of Sonic & Knuckles.

The graphics are detailed and colorful and feature smooth animation that doesn't slow down or lag much regardless of how much is happening on the screen at once. The music in Sonic The Hedgehog 3 is easily the worst in the series as it does not fit the games mood and in some cases is just plain annoying.


Bottom line: This game has solid gameplay, smooth graphics that don't lag or slow down much and some bosses that aren't completely lame. The downside is this game has terrible music and lacks any sort of ending. However at 800 Wii Points it's a solid platformer and a great game for any Sonic fan!

7- Good This game may have a few flaws or may have somewhat shoddy controls, or minor sound/graphics flaws, but the game itself should be fun if you like the genre, and can overlook the potential flaws!
