Each series needs a main character, but they don't all need to be male. In fact, five of the main characters of the twelve main series are female, with the other seven being male (there's a reason Sky turns out to be a guy rather than a girl, but you'd need to wait until we explore the Inner Ring to find out why).

Will you be adding a Pokémon game to your backlog this week?

So what will be your first Pokémon in the game? I picked Treecko, and I also caught a Poochyena for Cool Contest Spectaculars.

I can see Alpha Sapphire eating up a chunk of my gameplay time for the next few months, leaving my backlog mostly untouched, and I worry that it will distract me from my target of writing two entire story arcs of Crystals of Silveria by Christmastime. Timing the last three episodes of the first series with the Christmas and New Year period (The Winter Festival, Homeward Bound and The Sorceress Cometh) would be so perfect considering the themes involved in them.

I think a number of WiiWareWavers have unfinished games, though I intentionally leave some games unfinished for varying reasons, usually if you don't need to 100% a really tough game to "beat" it.

Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire came out roughly a decade ago.

Uh...those are Pokémon not Skylanders.

And those are people, not Level 100+ bosses.

And as predicted, my gameplay of Pokémon Alpha Sapphire is eating into my other gameplay time. At least I've pried myself away from my 2DS long enough to finish the next episode of Crystals of Silveria.
