Thank you for the compliment! I make all the original art for the show myself using Game Maker, since it has a decent image editing tool.

My helmet (and, by extension, my Mecha) are actually modelled after Spiny, those annoying little bugs dropped by Lakitu. As for my Ranger power, it's the Blue Koopa Shell from the original New Super Mario Bros., which allows me to create a defensive barrier around myself.

I agree with you about the Spiny Shell from the Mario Kart series, though. It appears far too frequently nowadays. Not fun when you're in 1st place. :p

Your avatar reminds me of the fact that Kid Icarus: Uprising is like an anime which is based on a manga. It is split into chapters, which are like episodes, and the chapters can be divided into three volumes, which are like seasons of an anime. Chapters 1 through 9 would be the first season, chapters 10 through 17 would be the second season, and chapters 18 through 25 would be the third season.
