The Importance of A Legend!

 photo 193_zps36a9e8a0.jpg

I know some people might like their favorite console maker to buy out Square Enix, but let's take a moment to think about the ramifications of such an event. First of all Square Enix was the biggest and best RPG developer back in the 80's to early 2000's and if a first party company buys Square Enix the extensive backlog of classic RPGs would have to be removed from all digital services except the one that the company who buys them out runs.

Now think about what happened when Atlus was up for grabs, Nintendo has more money in their bank than any of their first and third party competition, yet they didn't attempt to pick up Atlus. The same thing would likely happen in the case of Square Enix which granted their latest games might be falling short but their classics will never again be released on a Nintendo console which would be such a shame since Square Enix developed games almost exclusively for Nintendo consoles for nearly a decade!

That is just my thoughts on this matter, so what do you guys and gals think? Do you agree or do you think Square Enix should become first party and why? I'm curious to hear your opinions on this subject!

As long as Square Enix does not fully die, I'll be happy. I hope :\ I actually wish I could personally help revive the company XD

SE is ok to stay 3rd party, but I wish Nintendo would acquire rights to Sega, Capcom, and Platinum, so that we can see some sequels to long forgotten franchises, such as Billy Hatcher, Zack and Wiki, and even Vaquish

Such interest feature! Smile

It would be nice if the Wii U and 3DS eshop would get most of their classic RPGs including the ones that were never put on the Wii Shop. Smile

Square Enix needs to stop trying to support i-devices none of those casuals will pay more than a dollar or two on a game Neutral
Kain
Sweet feature and I agree all the way!
Ragnarok
I would hate for Square Enix to be exclusive to just one console. This is a great feature man!
