Although DSiWare games can be transferred over to the Nintendo 3DS, Nicalis has announced they will be releasing Cave Story on the eShop with updated features.
The 3DS version will feature a widescreen aspect ratio and steroscopic 3D output. Additional content will also be added such as challenge modes which include Nemesis Challenge, Boss Rush, Curly Story. Wind Fortress and Hell Time Attack. The game is due to release on October 4th for $9.99.
