If you are planning on buying a WiiU then you should take extra care when using the WiiU GamePad as an extra or replacement will cost you.

Nintendo of Japan announced that a brand new WiiU GamePad will cost ¥13,440 which is just over 130€ for Europe, £100 for UK, and $170 for North America.

bbased on thier current policy, Only if its Software related. Physical and Water based Damage you have to pay for. Will this change for the WiiU IDK

Too early to say anything about replacing defective tablets free of charge.
