Rodney Greenblat is the man behind the visual style for PaRappa the Rapper, UmJammer Lammy, and Major Minor's Majestic March. In an interview with notenoughshaders, Rodney praises Nintendo's commitment to opening up gaming to a wider audience.

PaRapper Designer Praises Nintendo & Not Happy With Major Minor's Majestic March Mmmm_gallery

"I think developers would like to make a wide range of interesting games, but they are difficult to sell, so they don’t get made. So it is a problem of economics. The question really becomes how to open up video gaming to a wider audience. Nintendo works on this question 24/7. Playstation and XBox have little incentive to do that."

When asked about whether or not they were happy with the end product of Major Minor's Majestic March, Rodney Greenblat had this to say.

"No, I was not happy about MMMM. Pretty much everything went wrong. I could write a book about the compounded mistakes made by hardworking and talented people."

I just hope Nintendo doesn't lean towards making casual gamers happy at the expense of core gamers.
