An early release?
More of a personal story, but today I was shopping for Amiibos to buy I dropped by Toys R Us and found the wave 2 Amiibos available for purchase! Remember these haven't been "officially" released, but I believe every wave 2 Amiibo was there, and here's a picture of the two I bought for proof.
This might or might not be just my local store, so go out to your local Toys R Us and see if your local store has them as well.
EDIT: I decided to add some front/back pictures, they both look fantastic!

My local Best Buy is also selling the wave two amiibos so I purchased Little Mac.

The Best Buy in my area is also selling the new wave of Amiibos now!

My local Toys R' Us closed down due to extensive renovations on the shopping centre where it was located.

I haven't seen any Amiibos at all in my local Toys R' Us location.
