Catherine First Impressions

ok this is my first ps3 First Impressions. i hope you like it. today's game im about to preview is Catherine. now im just gonna say it right now that i dont own a ps3 so i havent played that game. i just heard about the game from a friend of mine. i then checked it up on the internet. so this is what i know of it so far. here is my First Impressions

1. start up/plot
the story is about a guy name vincent brooks who are 32 year old who have a girl named Katherine. now they 2 have been together couple years and she wants to move on to the next step. but vincent gets little worry about it. later on he hangs out with his friends at the bar and having a chat. while they going home he still stays at the bar thinking about what Katherine said earlier. then some girl (which is ironically also known as Catherine shows up and ask if she can sit next to him. time flies by and when he falls asleep at his home he gets a nightmare which turns out to be a dangerous one. all he knows is if he dont climb he DIES. when he wake up from his nightmare he is not alone. it turns out he and Catherine had been going home together. he has no memory of it and it starting to look more wierd and more dangerous. also vincent finds out that there are people who died mysteriously in their bed. it looks like a curse

2. gameplay
well its like a puzzle game only this kind of puzzle game is for adults. it works like this. you have to climb all the way to the top by moving some blocks. you cant fall down and you gotta be quick. if you wait to much youdie because the blocks beneath you is falling. it slowly falling down. now you might think meh its not so challenging.... oh yeah well it is. because there are other types of blocks and hindrance in your way. you can get items as you climb that helps you which you can use one time and you can only carry one item in time. also at the end of a nightmare you always get chased by a monster which makes it harder as they mess it up for you

3. graphics
its quite amazing. this game is like a anime. if you ask me it kinda give me strong connection to death note anime (you know what i mean if you seen it) same concept well kinda. still its quiet fun

4. music
music is well intresting. its little adrenaline music. the kind that makes you nervous but its for a good thing since this game is supposed to be little scray and nightmarish

5. fun factor
its kinda fun although i never expected this kinda of game when i readed the title. however it look like its hard at some point

6. difficulty
it can be hard at some point depending what kind of difficulty you choose when you play. there are 3 difficulty easy, normal and hard. even at easy it can get hard. i wonder how hard it is if you choose hard as a difficulty.

First Impressions:its a ok game, worth a try. its definitely not a bad game but i dont recommend this game for people who get nightmare easily. this game also containing adult material such as bad languages and sexual themes

Wait a minute !
So are you telling me that you haven't played the game at all, yet you are reviewing it anyway ? how is that possible ?

I always play my games in order to form an opinion, and heck, I don't even want to review the game if I haven't finished it yet ! (but there are some exceptions...)

Im not bashing you or anything like that, but don't you think you must play the game in order to have your own opinion ? because heck, you might end up liking it more than just watching and/or reading it !

Agreeing with Jnes5, apart from the fact that it's a non Nintendo game (but that Rukiafans decision), you can't call it a review completely with a grade and all while not having played it.

you can call it whatever it is. if i had a ps3 and i would try that game out. besides my cousin has that game so i watched him play. thats all i have to do to judge whatever the game is good or not. might be wierd for you but thats how i work like

This is the same as Rukiafan's review of the WiiU. You can't just write a (proper) review completely with grades without finishing the game, let alone reviewing it without playing it at all. It might be okay for a first impressions though.

I don't think rukiafan knows that silks did that,well at least rukiafan fixed his wiiu first impressions

ok i admit that catherine is sometimes quite ridiculous game because now I HAVE TRIED IT. so those who say you havent tried it can just be quiet. i tried the game to see how it is and its a ok game. not too good and not too bad

I haven't tried this one but it doesn't sound too bad imo

Glad you tried it for yourself so you can form at least some sort of opinion. But I still agree with Jnes5. Trying a game for a couple of minutes/hours is enough for a preview or impressions article, not a full review.

i give up. someone else have to review that game

Stop it silks. It has nothing to do with you writing a piece about Catherine (and I don't have a problem now that this is a first impressions).

I (and others) had a problem that there was a review on a site that tries to become the next NintendoLife or IGN that not only haven't been finished but also haven't been played. Just stuff you've seen online or seen someone else play is no basis to write a review upon.

Exactly I think rukiafan is a softy and doesn't want to hurt silks feelings,silks nobody was being mean they were just giving you friendly advice

Agreed You cant write a review based on what you've seen or heard others say. A review is you playing the game and then writing down your thoughts on it. If anything your article could be considered a preview article. You cant write a review unless you've actually played the game yourself.
