How Long Does It Take To Delete Tens of Thousands of Received Messages From Your PS3?

My system is having trouble running due to all of the messages in my inbox and I was wondering how long it'll take to delete somewhere between 20k and 40k messages? @Pennsage @ryoutak @GeekyGamerZack @themcnoisy Do you guys know?

Apparently it take 5-6 hours...ouch.
