Oops is there a soft reset feature in Final Fantasy III SNES?

My game randomly reset when I was playing so I was curious if it could have been an accidental soft reset or if something is wrong with my cartridge?

I don't know if there is or isn't a soft reset function in the game, sorry

I think it might be your cartridge. I have owned the cartridge since the day it came out in NA and play it quite frequently and have never ran into that problem.
