Only one out of four Kickstarter campaigns that are successful actually get released.

Why do so many successful campaigns never get completed?
It makes me sad.

This is why you should be careful about which campaigns to back.

This is actually really interesting. I've never backed a single Kickstarter because as glorious and amazing as certain projects may seem, the end result never delivers because the team loses that spark. They see the money, contemplate on the project, then release a half-complete title. That and some of their request for funding seems like a fantastic way to profit off of people even though they already have strong financial backing from banks and third-party corporations. The most recent project which falls under this category is the newly announced Shaq-Fu (with the famous NBA player Shaquille O'neal at the helm as the main protagonist). A multi-million dollar NBA player can surely provide financial support for the project rather than asking for $450,000 from interested gamers or fans of the guy. I do appreciate the efforts some of them put into these projects though.
