Shipping and Receiving Q&A Empty Shipping and Receiving Q&A

November 24th 2012, 4:47 pm
I just have one question for guys. I checked the FedEx website, and my package arrived in my city today at 9:21 a.m. The current status says it's in transit. If FedEx delivers until 8:00 p.m, I should probably receive my package tonight, right?

Nope. Well, maybe. It should say out for delivery. I remember on two occassions where a package arrived but the status never said "out for delivery" or delivered until the next day. It's like no one "scanned" it for delivery or delivered for some reason. They come into the office though, not my front door unless it's a pricey product. I like FedEx's fast service but UPS has the best tracking.... Anyhow, you might receive it by 9PM. Otherwise, the following morning.

Yeah, that's true. It didn't say, "Out for delivery," but are serious about FedEx delivering packages until 9 p.m.?

Yeah. Especially around this time. But honestly, I think this commonly happens around mid-December vs late November. But yes, they can deliver as late as 9PM. Not necessarily common but it happens.

Usually FedEx delivers stuff to my house around 7pm but thats cause the nearest hub is two towns over from me, but usually when they deliver it it says out for delivery.

Oh, well. I'll definitely be receiving it tomorrow, unless some type of really serious catastrophe occurs. Which I doubt is likely.
