silks movie reviews

this is my next project and i hope it gets better respons. since i making game reviews and im into movies alot i thought it be a good idea to review movies because movies are like games and they need to be mention as well. my first review will be the new karate kid movie featuring jackie chan and jade smith so here goes

at the early 90 i loved the karate kid movies (original) with Ralph Macchio and pat Morita. i just simply like martial arts movies and when i watched them they were a classic and i can still watch them. so when the new karate kid showed up it was a disappointment on many ways. first of all jade smith plays in it and that does not work out well because he is black but thats not the major point. the real ticker is that jade smith is nothing like ralph. jade is cocky, brags and just shows no respect which seems to portrait today's modern lifestyle for many teens. second flaw is karate is japanese but all this is in kina which makes no sense. kina has kung fu as national sport, not karate. by pointing out those facts its actually false advertise. instead of claiming to be karate kid they should just name it kung fu kid. it would be nothing special but it would not dirty down the original. not to mention i think they added jackie chan as a bait to attract people to watch it and thats not really fair.
the story is like the original exept that its all happening in kina. like i said if it was named kung fu kid it would be accepteble. there are not a hole lot of action sequence. when it does its just stunt all the way. no real martial art skill. not to mention its quite a disappointing that jackie does not fight so often in this movie but seriously his days as a stuntman is kinda over. he is old and they should know better to not put him in a movie where its about kung fu because people immidely thinks he is going to perform like he usually do. the settings/graphics is all great. they taken a real good shot at kina. the music is good to but its not AS good. overall i think this movie was a excuse to replace the classic. so i give this movie a 2/5 = bad
its watchable but if you want to see a good martial art movie then check out jackies other work. they makes the new karate kid seems like a joke. this is silks of sweden stay tuned for more movie reviews. this is just my opinion so dont take it too seriously. im open for debate so respect it
