V.S.
eShop 72 focuses on the latest download releases, both new and classics, appearing on the Nintendo eShop (North America). Showing you how well they’re doing during the first 72 hours on the service from Thursday, July 12 9:00am, to Sunday, July 15 9:00am PDT.
Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 has finally arrived here in North America, joining as a new Virtual Console release for the 8-Bit Summer league. While Mario is taking Wario’s footsteps in overseas with the retail release of New Super Mario Bros. 2, Wario proves that he’s the real coin hunter by receiving a 5 star status with 142 ratings 72 hours after launch and currently in 7th in “All User’s Rating” for All Software. Surprisingly, Wario Land isn’t the biggest Virtual Console release this year. Mole Mania, a under the radar GameBoy title, is the second new Virtual Console release and is currently in 1st place in “All User’s Rating” for All Software with only 23 ratings. Many 3DS owners in North America have been waiting for Wario Land for so long you may think that the title could have unanimously get a 5 star rating from everyone who download it, that’s is not the case here. Mole Mania has accomplished a triumphal feat this year for 3DS Virtual Console. As of right now, Mole Mania is a better game than Kid Icarus: Uprising and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy.

Now for the 3DS downloads. Planet Crashers (image above), previously as a retail game, and Dot Runner: Complete Edition, a spiritual sequel to GO Series: Picdun for DSiware, are this week’s new 3DS download releases. Just like Order Up!! where it demonstrates that cancelling a retail release for a technical digital retail exclusive release is a success, Planet Crashers currently receives a 4 ½ star status with 88 ratings and that planet is 11 times greater than Dot Runner with only 8 ratings.
Base on the new DSiware release, Decathlon 2012, 3DS owners aren’t fans of the Olympics except for Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games (to some extent). Decathlon 2012 currently only receives one 5 star rating.
I’ll be checking back new process on the Nintendo eShop next week and remember to post your welcoming thoughts at the comment section below.
