OMG so there is a GO Vacation thread on here. This thread just never took off like it's counterpart Fishing Resort did.
Odd considering Go Vacation was a million seller and Fishing Resort was virtually unknown.
Anyone still playing this?

Both games were produced by Namco Bandai and released around the same time in Japan. They have similar athestics and similar island open-world gameplay.
However if Prope had any involvement in Go Vacation it's uncredited. Since Namco produced Go Vacation (Japan) and it's development was con-current with Fishing Resort it's highly likely Go Vacation heavily influenced Fishing Resort (or possibly vice versa).
However both these games fall in line with Namco Bandai's We Ski / We Ski & Snowboard in design and laid back open world approach to gameplay.

I have Go Vacation, but I never really enjoyed it as much as Fishing Resort... I mean it's not a bad game, but they could have expanded each of the "minigames" a lot more.
